Proud recipient of the following awards:

If we do nothing a dystopian future will await us

By Stephan B.

My Perspective is where the individual voices of our community members can be heard

I’m genuinely worried about the accelleration of income inequality. Eight people have as much wealth as the entire bottom half of the world population. And I feel things are only getting worse. As A.I. and robots emerge the upper classes won’t even need the rest of us for labour, every job will be done by a machine. Already today we are so opposed to social welfare systems, why would future humanity would become that much more compassionate, especially as resources dwindle? It seems like we are actually moving towards a dystopian future where the poor will be marginalized from a paradise for the rich.
