Too many Americans defend police crime

I don’t understand how such a large group of Americans can constantly stick with the cop, no matter if he shoots a man running away from him, a little boy, or someone who’s cooperating calmly. I don’t understand how they can’t exhibit even an inkling of critical thought. Clearly not all cops are bad, but when they commit crimes they should be held accountable. I feel like in certain circles it’s completely off limits to criticize the police. This needs to change. The police already has way too much power.
