Proud recipient of the following awards:

The Price of elitism

By Elaine Blair

My Perspective is where the individual voices of our community members can be heard

I’m heartbroken about the last election’s results. I can’t believe that Trump won, but I also can’t believe we lost the election, while facing Trumps. I don’t think people voted for him, as much as they didn’t vote for the old political system. People need to be really angry to go for someone like Trump, and I don’t see many democrats discussing this anger (which is what they should do). We obviously let down a huge part of the country. If we want to win and get the childish bully out of our history, we need to look beyond our twitter feeds and instead, look America in the eyes, and ourselves in the mirror. We lost for a reason, but I feel we haven’t learned our lesson
